Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford is dedicated to keeping kids safe. Through collaboration with the Pediatric Trauma Program, the Childhood Injury Prevention Program plays a key role in reducing unintentional injuries to Bay Area children.

Our bilingual staff addresses the leading mechanisms of injuries facing children with a number of education programs in communities across the region. We partner with local schools, public safety agencies, and family-serving organizations throughout the Bay Area to provide awareness and education on child passenger safetybike and pedestrian safetysafe sleep, and in-home safety.

Car seat education

The car seat education classes are being offered to ensure that families expecting a new addition to their family and are delivering either at our hospital, or one of the many hospitals in the Bay Area, are able to receive Child Passenger Safety education from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford's experienced staff.
